On Sunday, Dec 3rd The Hudnall Memorial Ride took place leaving Bakersfield Harley-Davidson benefiting the family of Kern County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Hudnall, who died in the line of duty on November 14th. Hundreds of bikes left at 11:30 am heading to Chuy’s restaurant on Rosedale.
“Incredible†is the only word I could use to describe the turnout of motorcycles for the Ride. Each Rider donated $20 each with proceeds to go to the family as they try to cope during this hardship. Seeing the children of Deputy Hudnall really hit home with me and left a lump in my throat.
John Mason of the H.O.G. group knew him well and stated to me, “he is one of the greatest guys you’ll ever want to meetâ€. We at Bakersfield Harley-Davidson were thankful to be able to facilitate this event for such a good cause.
Bikers come from all backgrounds and different views but the strength of the biker in my opinion comes out when we rally together for great causes such as this.
Pictures to follow…

I would like to thank all those who supported the Lords of Loyalty and Blue Knights hosted Deputy Joe Hudnall memorial ride. The turn out was out of this world!!! We took in over $15,000.00 for the Hudnall family. It could not have been done without the support of Bakersfield Harley Davidson and Chuy’s Restaurant. The job they did for this cause was mind boggling!!! The support of all those who donated and helped is wonderful and very much appreciated!

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. I see John Mason quoted in this article. My best friend in high school was John Mason, and I think that he lives in Bakersfield. If it is my old buddy, please email me at wjkayco@yahoo.com. Again, I am very sorry that you lost a good man, and I wish the best for his family.
